Stopping or altering the dose without medical advice is not advisable, as this could affect both safety and effectiveness. Improvements may take weeks or even months to become noticeable, so treatment should be continued as directed.

Loose stools are a very frequent issue while using this medicine. Keeping yourself well hydrated can help manage this problem, though persistent symptoms should be reported to your doctor. Other commonly observed reactions include nausea, abdominal discomfort, vomiting, loss of appetite, changes in liver function tests, headaches, weight reduction, and raised blood pressure.
