Composition (per 5ml):

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide – 10mg (Cough suppressant acting on the brain’s cough center)

• Guaifenesin – 100mg (Expectorant that helps loosen mucus in the respiratory tract)

• Menthol / Flavoring agents – As per formulation

Therapeutic Uses / Indications:

ELDEX-P 500ml is indicated for the management of:

• Dry, irritating cough

• Productive cough with thick mucus

• Symptoms associated with cold, flu, bronchitis, or other respiratory tract infections

Mechanism of Action:

• Dextromethorphan HBr suppresses cough by acting on the medullary cough center in the brain.

• Guaifenesin reduces the thickness and stickiness of mucus, facilitating its removal from the airways.

Dosage and Administration:

• Adults: 10–20ml, 3 times daily

• Children: 5–10ml, 3 times daily (or as prescribed by a doctor)

• Shake well before use

• Administer orally using a measuring cup or spoon

Precautions:

• Do not exceed the recommended dose

• Consult a doctor for children under 6 years

• Avoid use in patients with chronic cough due to smoking, asthma, or emphysema unless advised by a physician

• Use caution if the patient has liver or kidney disorders

• May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if affected
