Rolazin Tablet ER is a medicine used in the management of chronic angina (chest pain due to reduced blood supply to the heart). It helps improve blood flow to the heart muscles, reduces chest discomfort, and allows patients to be more active without pain.

How it Works
Rolazin Tablet ER contains Ranolazine, which works by improving the efficiency of the heart muscle. It does not directly change heart rate or blood pressure but helps the heart use oxygen more effectively, thereby reducing angina attacks.

Uses

• Treatment of chronic stable angina (long-term chest pain caused by heart disease)

• Can be used along with other heart medicines like beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, or nitrates

How to Take
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with water; do not chew, crush, or break it, as it is an extended-release (ER) formulation. It is usually taken at the same time every day, with or without food.

Possible Side Effects

• Dizziness or headache

• Nausea, vomiting, or constipation

• Weakness or tiredness

• Palpitations or irregular heartbeat (rare)

Seek medical help immediately if you experience fainting, severe dizziness, or a fast/irregular heartbeat.

Precautions

• Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice while on this medicine, as it may increase side effects.

Missed Dose
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Do not take two doses together.
