Rozucor 10 Tablet is a medicine used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It contains Rosuvastatin (10 mg), which belongs to the group of medicines called statins. By reducing the levels of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and fats, and increasing the level of “good” cholesterol (HDL), it helps prevent blockage in blood vessels. This lowers the chances of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related problems.
Doctors prescribe Rozucor 10 Tablet to patients who cannot control cholesterol through diet and exercise alone. It works best when combined with a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise, avoiding fatty food, and quitting smoking or alcohol.
Some common side effects may include headache, stomach pain, constipation, nausea, weakness, muscle pain, or dizziness. Most of these are mild and go away on their own, but you should consult your doctor if they persist. Rarely, it may affect the liver or muscles, so periodic medical check-ups are advised during treatment.
The tablet should be taken in the exact dose and duration prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day, with or without food. Do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well.
Rozucor 10 Tablet should be used cautiously in people with liver or kidney problems. It is not considered safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as scheduled. Do not double the dose.
