ZYGOCEF L Tablet: Overview

ZYGOCEF L is a combination antibiotic medication that contains Cefuroxime and Lactobacillus. It is used to treat various bacterial infections while supporting gut health during antibiotic therapy.

Common Uses

ZYGOCEF L is prescribed for:

• Respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Throat and sinus infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis)

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Ear infections (otitis media)

• Prevention of secondary infections during other treatments

How It Works

• Cefuroxime works by interfering with bacterial cell wall formation, killing bacteria and stopping their growth.

• Lactobacillus helps maintain normal gut flora, reducing the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Nausea, vomiting, or mild diarrhea

• Stomach discomfort

• Headache

• Rarely, allergic reactions like rash or swelling

Dosage & Administration

• Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor, usually twice daily.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.

• Can be taken with or without food, but taking with food may reduce stomach upset.

Precautions
