Description

Cytolog Tablet is a prostaglandin-based medication belonging to the group of Abortifacient and Antiulcer agents. It is primarily prescribed for medical abortion and management of post-delivery bleeding, and it is also used in the treatment of gastric ulcers. Cytolog works by inducing uterine contractions and softening the cervix, enabling the expulsion of pregnancy tissue in cases of medical abortion. It is most effective during the early stages of pregnancy, within the first seventy days. Additionally, Cytolog supports uterine contraction after childbirth, helping control excessive bleeding.

When used for gastric ulcers, Cytolog protects the stomach lining from the harmful effects of acid and long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), promoting healing and preventing ulcer recurrence.
