Description

Montek AB Tablet SR is a combination medicine used to treat and prevent asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and bronchitis. It helps relax the airways, making breathing easier and reducing symptoms like wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.

It contains Acebrophylline and Montelukast. Acebrophylline acts as a mucolytic and bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles and helps clear mucus, while Montelukast blocks leukotriene action to reduce airway inflammation and allergic responses.

Take this tablet with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. Do not chew or crush it. Continue taking it for the prescribed duration, even if you start feeling better, to prevent symptom recurrence.

Common side effects may include vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, rash, itching, breathing difficulty, dizziness, or sleepiness. Avoid alcohol, as it can increase drowsiness. Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, to adjust the dose if necessary.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Skip it if it’s almost time for your next dose—do not double up.
