Description

Rifagut 400 Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat hepatic encephalopathy and infectious diarrhea. In hepatic encephalopathy, it helps reduce the production of toxins like ammonia by eliminating harmful gut bacteria, improving brain function and reducing related symptoms such as confusion, tremors, and disorientation. It also treats infectious diarrhea by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause infection.

It may be taken with or without food, at the same time each day, as prescribed. Continue the full course even if you start feeling better, as stopping early may lead to recurrence or resistance.

Common side effects include nausea, dizziness, fatigue, depression, rash, joint pain, and reddish discoloration of urine, which is harmless. Consult your doctor if side effects persist or worsen.

Use with caution in severe liver disease. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible or skip it if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dose.
