Acuclav DS Syrup is an antibiotic medication used to treat various bacterial infections in children. It contains two active ingredients: Amoxicillin (400 mg per 5 ml) and Clavulanic Acid (57 mg per 5 ml). Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting the formation of their protective cell walls. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents certain bacteria from breaking down amoxicillin, thus enhancing its effectiveness.
