ADIGOG M2 TAB

Adigog M2 Tablet is a prescription medication used to manage Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It combines two active ingredients:

• Glimepiride (2 mg): A sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, thereby lowering blood sugar levels.

• Metformin Hydrochloride (500 mg, Sustained Release): A biguanide that reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.

This combination therapy is effective when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate blood sugar control.

Dosage and Administration:

• Take the tablet with meals to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not chew or crush.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding dosage and timing.

Precautions:

• Monitor for signs of hypoglycemia, especially if meals are skipped or if alcohol is consumed.

• Regular kidney function tests are recommended, as Metformin is contraindicated in patients with renal impairment.

• Avoid alcohol consumption due to the increased risk of lactic acidosis.

Side Effects:

• Common: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea.

• Serious: Lactic acidosis (rare but serious), vitamin B12 deficiency with long-term use.
