Allercet-M Tablet – Product Overview

Allercet-M Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat allergic symptoms such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. It also reduces inflammation in the airways and helps make breathing easier.

How to Take Allercet-M Tablet:

• Take with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor.

• Follow the recommended dose and duration; do not stop the medicine early, as symptoms may return or worsen.

• Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking to avoid interactions.

Common Side Effects:
Most side effects are temporary and resolve as your body adjusts. Contact your doctor if symptoms persist:

• Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting

• Dry mouth, fatigue, headache

• Skin rash, sleepiness

• Upper respiratory tract infection, sore throat

• Fever, abdominal pain, increased liver enzymes

How It Works:
Allercet-M Tablet contains Levocetirizine and Montelukast:

• Levocetirizine – an antihistamine that blocks histamine, reducing runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes

• Montelukast – a leukotriene antagonist that reduces airway and nasal inflammation

Uses:

• Relief from sneezing and runny nose due to allergies

• Treatment of hay fever

• Reduction of airway inflammation

Safety Advice:

• Alcohol: Use with caution; may increase sleepiness.

• Pregnancy: Generally safe if prescribed; limited human data.

• Breastfeeding: Not recommended; may be harmful to the baby.

• Driving: May cause sleepiness or dizziness; avoid driving if affected.

• Kidney: Use with caution; dose adjustment may be needed. Not recommended in severe kidney disease.

• Liver: Use with caution in severe liver disease; dose adjustment may be needed. Safe in mild to moderate liver disease.

Missed Dose:

• Take as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose.
