Caziq Buccal Paste

Caziq Buccal Paste is a medicated preparation belonging to the corticosteroid group, designed to ease discomfort from painful sores, oral ulcers, and inflammatory spots inside the mouth caused by trauma or irritation. By calming the body’s immune response in the affected area, it helps in lowering redness, swelling, and soreness, giving quick symptomatic relief. The paste also forms a thin protective coating on the ulcer, which allows the medicine to stay longer in contact with the lesion and enhances its healing action.

Before applying, the affected part of the mouth should be cleaned and dried properly. A small dab of the paste is then gently pressed onto the lesion, without spreading or rubbing it in. For best results, it is generally advised to use after meals or just before bedtime, as this gives the medicine maximum time to act. Avoid drinking or eating anything for about half an hour after application so the paste remains in place.

Mild stinging, tingling, or irritation may appear at the site of application in the beginning, though this usually subsides quickly. If these effects continue, become bothersome, or if signs of allergy occur such as swelling or severe itching, medical advice should be sought. Overuse should be avoided, as it can increase the risk of side effects.

This medicine should not be applied in cases where there are ongoing fungal, viral, or bacterial infections in the mouth, since corticosteroids can worsen such conditions. People with diabetes need to be extra cautious, as steroids may interfere with blood sugar control. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before using this medicine.
