Overview

Cipkavi 2000mg/500mg Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat severe bacterial infections of the lungs, stomach, and urinary tract. It may be prescribed alone or alongside other antibiotics (such as metronidazole) for a wide range of bacterial infections in both adults and children.
This injection combines Ceftazidime (2000mg) and Avibactam (500mg) — two agents that work synergistically to destroy harmful bacteria and prevent antibiotic resistance.

How It Works

Ceftazidime is a bactericidal agent that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death.
Avibactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects ceftazidime from being broken down by resistant bacteria.
