Gabalept NT 400mg/10mg Tablet
Gabalept NT 400mg/10mg Tablet is a combination medicine used to manage neuropathic pain caused by conditions like diabetes, shingles, or spinal cord injury. It works by reducing abnormal nerve signals that trigger pain, helping relieve discomfort, improve sleep, and stabilize mood.
It can be taken with or without food, preferably at night, and at the same time each day. Do not stop the medicine suddenly as it may worsen symptoms. If a dose is missed, take it when remembered—skip it if the next dose is near.
Common side effects include constipation, dizziness, sleepiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, difficulty in urination, weight gain, tiredness, and swelling in the legs. It may also cause mood changes, so report any unusual thoughts to your doctor.
It should be used cautiously in people with kidney or liver problems. Avoid alcohol, as it can increase drowsiness. Driving or activities requiring alertness should also be avoided until you know how the medicine affects you. Consult your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.
How it works:
Gabapentin reduces nerve pain by modulating calcium channels, while Nortriptyline increases serotonin and noradrenaline levels to block pain signals. Together, they provide effective relief from chronic nerve pain.
