Ganfort Eye Drop
Ganfort Eye Drop is a combination of bimatoprost and timolol, used to lower eye pressure in conditions such as glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It reduces the production and improves the drainage of aqueous fluid in the eye, helping to control increased intraocular pressure and protect the optic nerve.
Common side effects include burning, irritation, itching, redness, and temporary blurred vision after application. These usually settle on their own, but if they persist, consult your doctor. Avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision becomes clear. If the drops accidentally reach the nose, mouth, or ears, rinse thoroughly with water.
This medicine is meant for external use only. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the lower eyelid without touching the dropper tip to any surface. Wipe off excess liquid and wash your hands afterward.
Use with caution if you have allergies to any ingredients. Safety data in pregnancy and breastfeeding are limited, so medical advice is necessary. If you miss a dose, skip it and continue with the regular schedule without doubling the drops.
How it works:
Bimatoprost (a prostaglandin analogue) and timolol (a beta blocker) work together to decrease fluid buildup in the eye, lowering high eye pressure and helping prevent vision loss.
