Kofarest-PD Drops 1 × 15 ml is a pediatric respiratory medicine used in children to treat productive cough (cough with mucus) and associated bronchospasm or chest congestion.
Composition & Mechanism
Each ml contains:
Levosalbutamol 0.25 mg — a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles of the airways
Ambroxol 7.5 mg — a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus
Guaifenesin 12.5 mg — an expectorant that helps increase secretion fluidity to aid mucus clearance
These three agents act together to open airways, reduce mucus thickness, and make cough more productive.
Indications / Uses
Productive (wet) cough associated with bronchitis, asthma, or other lower respiratory tract conditions
Wheezing, chest tightness, or difficulty breathing associated with mucus accumulation
Sore throat or throat irritation accompanying respiratory illness
Dosage & Administration
Use the calibrated dropper to administer the correct dose.
Follow the doctor’s prescribed dose (frequency and amount depend on child’s age and weight).
Often given thrice daily in children.
Can be given with or without food; giving after meals may reduce stomach upset.
Continue the full course even if symptoms improve early.

Use caution in children with cardiovascular disease, thyroid disorders, diabetes, or electrolyte imbalance.
