Kofarest-PD Syrup 1 × 100 ml is a combination medicine for children used to treat productive cough (cough with mucus) with associated bronchospasm or chest congestion.

Composition & Mechanism

Levosalbutamol — bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles

Ambroxol — mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus

Guaifenesin — expectorant that helps clear mucus by increasing fluid content in airways

Together, these ingredients relieve cough, open airways, and facilitate the expulsion of mucus.

Uses / Indications

Relief of productive (wet) cough in children

Conditions like bronchitis, pneumonia with mucus, asthma with phlegm

Symptoms such as chest tightness, wheezing, or difficulty breathing caused by mucus

Dosage & Administration

Shake well before use

Use a measuring cup, spoon, or calibrated device for accurate dose

Dose and frequency are determined by pediatrician based on age and weight

Often given 2–3 times daily, or as prescribed

Can be taken with or without food

Contraindications & Precautions

Avoid use in children allergic to levosalbutamol, ambroxol, or guaifenesin

Use cautiously in children with heart conditions, thyroid disorders, or diabetes

Monitor in children with liver or kidney issues

Be cautious when using other bronchodilators or stimulants

Discontinue if severe side effects or allergic reactions occur
