Kofgard-D Syrup 1 × 100 ml is a medicinal syrup used for treating coughs (productive or otherwise) often accompanied by bronchospasm or airway irritation.
Composition & Mechanism
Levosalbutamol — a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles
Dextromethorphan — a cough suppressant acting on the cough center in the brain
Ambroxol — a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus
Guaifenesin — an expectorant that increases bronchial secretions, making mucus easier to expel
These ingredients work together to ease breathing, reduce cough reflex, and facilitate clearance of mucus.
Uses / Indications
Relief of productive or mixed coughs
Coughs associated with respiratory conditions like bronchitis, asthma with mucus
Situations with chest tightness, wheezing, or excess mucus
Dosage & Administration
Shake well before use
Use a measuring cup or spoon to measure dose accurately
Dosing frequency and amount depend on severity and patient’s age — follow physician’s directions
Often given after meals to reduce stomach upset
Continue full course even if symptoms relieve early
