Lactipan-Plus Oral Suspension Sugar Free is a combination medication used to treat constipation, including constipation associated with piles, anal fissures, hernias, cardiovascular conditions, elderly patients, and for bowel clearance before procedures.
It contains three active ingredients:
Sodium picosulfate (stimulant laxative): increases intestinal movement to help propel stool forward.
Liquid paraffin (lubricant laxative): retains water and fat in stools, making them softer and easier to pass.
Milk of magnesia (osmotic laxative): draws water into the intestine, softening stool and promoting evacuation.
The suspension helps lubricate, soften, and stimulate the movement of stools, providing comprehensive relief from infrequent or hard bowel movements. Relief typically begins within 6–12 hours, with full effect in 1–2 days.
