Levipil 500 Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine used to treat and prevent seizures in people with epilepsy. It can be taken alone or in combination with other medications. It works by suppressing abnormal electrical activity in the brain, helping prevent seizures as long as it is taken regularly.
It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Continue using it for as long as prescribed, even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly may increase the risk of seizures.
Common side effects include sleepiness, dizziness, headache, fatigue, decreased appetite, irritability, and behavioral changes such as agitation or aggression. These usually subside with continued use. However, inform your doctor if you experience mood changes, depression, or thoughts of self-harm.
Levipil 500 Tablet should be used cautiously in people with kidney disease, and dose adjustments may be needed. It is generally safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but medical supervision is required. Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine, and do not drive or operate machinery if you feel drowsy or dizzy.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one—do not double the dose.
