Metosartan 25 Tablet ER is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). By lowering blood pressure, it helps prevent heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems. It also improves survival chances in patients recovering from heart attacks by reducing strain on the heart and improving blood flow.

This medicine contains Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate, which work together to relax blood vessels and slow the heart rate, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing cardiac workload.

Take this medicine with or after food, exactly as prescribed. Continue taking it regularly for best results, even if you feel well.

Common side effects include headache, dizziness, weakness, low blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and abdominal pain. Avoid potassium-rich foods and supplements while on this medication. Rise slowly from sitting or lying positions to prevent dizziness.

Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems or are taking other medicines for blood pressure or heart conditions. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should take this medicine only under medical advice.

If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one—do not double up.
