Montek BL 40 Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and other allergic conditions. It helps relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy or watery eyes, and nasal congestion, improving breathing and comfort.

It contains Bilastine and Montelukast. Bilastine blocks histamine to reduce itching, swelling, and redness, while Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, chemical messengers responsible for airway inflammation and allergy symptoms.

Take this tablet once daily on an empty stomach, preferably one hour before or two hours after meals, as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole without crushing or chewing. Avoid skipping doses and continue the treatment as directed.

Common side effects may include headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, cough, fatigue, fever, sore throat, runny nose, drowsiness, and ear infection. These are generally mild and temporary. Avoid alcohol and refrain from driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy or sleepy.

Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have liver, kidney, or respiratory problems. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but skip it if it’s nearly time for the next one—do not double the dose.
