About Monticope Suspension
Monticope Suspension is a pediatric anti-allergic medicine designed to relieve symptoms of allergies such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, watery eyes, and skin irritation. It is also beneficial in managing mild asthma and allergic skin conditions in children. This medicine helps reduce nasal inflammation, improves breathing, and enhances comfort during allergy seasons.
Monticope Suspension contains two active ingredients — Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Montelukast works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, chemicals that cause airway swelling and inflammation. Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, prevents the effects of histamine, which triggers sneezing, itching, and watery eyes. Together, these components provide comprehensive relief from respiratory and skin-related allergic reactions.

It can be given with or without food, ideally at the same time every day.
For asthma, it is best given in the evening or 2 hours before physical activity.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, repeat it; otherwise, skip it if the next dose is near.
How Monticope Suspension Works
Monticope Suspension combines Levocetirizine and Montelukast to fight allergic symptoms from two different pathways.
Levocetirizine blocks histamine, a natural substance responsible for itching, watery eyes, and sneezing.
Montelukast prevents leukotriene action, reducing airway inflammation and easing breathing difficulties.
Together, they provide long-lasting relief from respiratory and skin-related allergic symptoms.
