Oleanz RT 5 Tablet is prescribed for the management of schizophrenia and episodes of mania. It can be taken with meals or on an empty stomach, though taking it at the same time each day helps keep its level steady in the body. If a dose is forgotten, it may be taken once remembered, unless the next scheduled one is near, in which case the missed dose should be skipped. It is not advisable to stop the medicine suddenly, as this may worsen the condition.

Some people may notice effects such as dry mouth, constipation, stiff muscles, or restlessness. In the early stages, sudden changes in blood pressure may occur while moving from sitting or lying to standing, so rising slowly is recommended. Dizziness and drowsiness are also possible, which means tasks that require full alertness, like driving, should be avoided until the individual is certain of how the medicine affects them.
