Introduction

Rcifax 400 Tablet contains Rifaximin (400 mg), an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the intestine. It works by stopping the growth of harmful bacteria in the gut while having very minimal absorption into the bloodstream. This makes it particularly effective in intestinal infections like infectious diarrhea, traveler’s diarrhea, and irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D). It is also prescribed in some cases to reduce the risk of hepatic encephalopathy in patients with liver disease.
