Retorlix 5 Tablet

Retorlix 5 Tablet contains torasemide 5 mg, which is a diuretic (“water pill”) that helps your body remove excess water and salt.

Uses

• Reducing swelling (edema) caused by heart, kidney, or liver problems

• Helping control high blood pressure by reducing fluid volume in the body

How it works
Torasemide increases urine production by the kidneys. This helps remove extra fluid and salt, reducing swelling and lowering blood pressure.

How to take it

• Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor

• Usually taken once daily, with or without food

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew

• Take in the morning or early day to avoid nighttime urination

Possible side effects

• Dizziness or lightheadedness, especially when standing up quickly

• Increased urination

• Dehydration or thirst

• Muscle cramps or weakness

• Stomach discomfort or nausea

Precautions

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease

• Do not use if you have very low urine output or allergy to torasemide

Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double up.
