Rivolas 20 Tablet

Rivolas 20 Tablet is an anticoagulant medicine that helps prevent and treat harmful blood clots. It is commonly prescribed for conditions like deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with irregular heart rhythm. By controlling clot formation, it improves blood circulation and lowers the chances of serious complications.

How it Works
Rivolas 20 Tablet contains Rivaroxaban, a direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC). It blocks Factor Xa, an important protein in the blood clotting process. This prevents abnormal clot formation while allowing normal blood flow to continue.

Uses

• Treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)

• Treatment and prevention of pulmonary embolism (PE)

• Prevention of stroke and clot-related complications in patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat)

• Prevention of blood clots after major orthopedic or surgical procedures

How to Take
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with water, ideally at the same time every day. It is usually taken with food to improve absorption. Do not stop the medicine suddenly, as this may raise your risk of clot-related problems.

Possible Side Effects

• Increased tendency to bleed or bruise easily

• Headache or dizziness

• Stomach upset, nausea, or indigestion

• Weakness or tiredness

Seek immediate medical help if you notice prolonged bleeding, blood in stools or urine, vomiting blood, or severe unexplained headache.

Precautions

• Inform your doctor if you have a history of bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, liver or kidney problems.

• Avoid alcohol as it can increase bleeding risk.

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medicine only if prescribed.

• Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, especially blood thinners or painkillers.

Missed Dose
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember on the same day. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as scheduled. Do not take two doses together.
