How it Works
Rocaltrol Capsule contains Calcitriol, an active form of Vitamin D3. It improves calcium absorption from the intestines and maintains the right balance of calcium and phosphate in the body. This strengthens bones, prevents weakness, and supports normal muscle and nerve functions.

Uses

• Treatment of low calcium levels in patients with chronic kidney disease

• Management of osteoporosis (weak or brittle bones)

• Treatment of rickets and osteomalacia (soft bones due to Vitamin D deficiency)

• Helps regulate calcium in patients with underactive parathyroid glands (hypoparathyroidism)

How to Take
Take the capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with water, with or without food, preferably at the same time every day. Do not take more than the recommended dose.

Possible Side Effects

Missed Dose
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose.
