Rozucor 40 Tablet

Rozucor 40 Tablet is a medicine used to control very high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It contains Rosuvastatin 40 mg, which belongs to the statin group of medicines. It works by lowering harmful cholesterol (LDL) and fats, and by raising good cholesterol (HDL). This helps prevent the build-up of fatty deposits in blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related complications.

Doctors usually prescribe Rozucor 40 Tablet to patients who have not achieved cholesterol control with lower doses or other treatments. Because it is a high-strength dose, it is generally used in severe cases or when the patient is at high risk of cardiovascular disease.

The tablet works best when combined with lifestyle changes such as eating a balanced low-fat diet, regular exercise, weight management, quitting smoking, and avoiding alcohol.

Common side effects may include headache, abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, muscle pain, dizziness, or weakness. Most of these are mild and temporary. Rarely, it may cause serious effects on the liver or muscles, so doctors may recommend blood tests and regular monitoring during treatment.

Rozucor 40 Tablet should be taken once a day at the dose advised by the doctor, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Do not stop the medicine on your own, even if you feel well.

It should be used with caution in people with liver or kidney problems. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

If you miss a dose, take it when you remember. If it is almost time for the next one, skip the missed dose and continue as usual. Do not take two doses together.
