Sacuhart 100 Tablet

Sacuhart 100 Tablet is a medication used to manage chronic heart failure and hypertension by combining two active ingredients—sacubitril and valsartan—which together support the heart and blood vessels.

Composition

• Sacubitril 49 mg

• Valsartan 51 mg

Uses

This tablet is prescribed in patients with reduced ejection fraction heart failure to reduce hospitalization and cardiovascular death. It also helps manage high blood pressure in certain patients by relaxing blood vessels and decreasing strain on the heart.

How It Works

Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin, increasing levels of beneficial peptides that help dilate blood vessels and reduce fluid retention. Valsartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, preventing blood vessel constriction and lowering blood pressure. Together, they ease the workload on the heart and improve circulatory function.

Dosage and Administration

• Take as prescribed by your doctor.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.

• Can be taken with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time every day to maintain consistent levels.

Common Side Effects

• Low blood pressure (hypotension)

• Dizziness or light-headedness

• Cough

• High potassium levels

• Kidney function changes

• Fatigue

Precautions and Warnings

• Contraindicated in pregnancy, as it may cause harm to the fetus

• Avoid use during breastfeeding unless your doctor approves

• Use caution in patients with kidney or liver impairment

• Monitor potassium and kidney function periodically

• Avoid combining with ACE inhibitors without a washout period to reduce risk of swelling (angioedema)

Storage Instructions

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it’s close to the time for your next dose. Do not double up to compensate for a missed dose.

Overdose

Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected. Symptoms may include dizziness, fainting, or an irregular heartbeat.
