Sacumada 100 Tablet is a combination medication used to treat chronic heart failure. It helps reduce risk of hospitalization and death in adults with heart failure by improving how efficiently the heart pumps blood.

Uses

Sacumada 100 Tablet is prescribed for long-term management of heart failure. It helps reduce symptoms like shortness of breath, swelling of ankles or legs, fatigue, and lower hospitalizations. It may also be used in some cases to manage high blood pressure, helping protect the cardiovascular system.

How It Works

Sacubitril increases levels of naturally occurring peptides that help relax blood vessels and reduce fluid build-up. Valsartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to constrict. Together they reduce strain on the heart, which eases its workload and improves cardiac function.

Dosage and Administration

Take as directed by your doctor. Swallow whole with water; do not chew, crush, or break. May be taken with or without food. Try to take at the same time each day. Your doctor will adjust dose based on your condition, kidney and liver function, and other medications.

Common Side Effects

You may experience low blood pressure (feeling dizzy or light-headed), elevated potassium levels in blood, cough, dizziness, or impaired kidney function. Many side effects improve over time; consult your doctor if they worsen or persist.

Precautions and Warnings

Do not take if allergic to sacubitril, valsartan, or any component. Avoid using with ACE inhibitors; leave at least 36 hours gap if switching. Use with caution in liver disease or kidney disease. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you take to avoid interactions. Monitor blood pressure and kidney function regularly.

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Missed Dose

If you miss one, take it as soon as you remember unless it’s nearly time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

Seek medical help immediately in case of overdose. Symptoms may include severe dizziness, fainting, or very low blood pressure.
