SustEN SR 300 Tablet is a natural female hormone (progesterone) used to treat menstrual and pregnancy-related problems caused by hormonal imbalance. It is also prescribed with estrogen in hormone replacement therapy to prevent endometrial hyperplasia (abnormal thickening of the uterine lining).
It should be taken with or after food at the same time each day as directed by your doctor. Continue taking it for the prescribed duration, even if you start feeling better.
Common side effects include headache, breast pain, bloating, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, vaginal yeast infection, swelling (edema), and irregular vaginal bleeding. These effects are usually mild and may lessen with continued use.
Inform your doctor if you have or have had breast cancer, liver disease, or unexplained vaginal bleeding. Avoid alcohol and smoking while on this medicine.
