Valkem-OD 750 Tablet is an anticonvulsant (antiepileptic) medicine used for the treatment of epilepsy and seizures. It helps control abnormal electrical activity in the brain, reducing the risk of repeated fits. It can be prescribed alone or with other medicines for complex partial seizures (affecting one side of the brain with altered awareness), as well as absence seizures (short episodes of unconsciousness).

The active ingredient, Divalproex sodium, works by increasing the amount of a natural brain chemical called GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA calms nerve activity, which helps prevent sudden electrical disturbances in the brain, thereby reducing seizure frequency and severity.
