Xoclave 625 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in different parts of the body such as the lungs, urinary tract, ear, sinus, skin, soft tissues, teeth, joints, and bones. It works only against bacterial infections and has no effect on illnesses caused by viruses like the common cold.

For best results, the tablet is usually taken with meals since this helps reduce stomach discomfort. It should be taken at regular intervals, and preferably at the same time every day, as advised by your doctor. The exact dose depends on the type and severity of the infection. Even if you start to feel better in a few days, you must complete the full course recommended, otherwise the infection may return or become harder to treat.

Some people may experience side effects like stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, loose stools, or fungal infections such as oral or vaginal thrush. Most of these are mild and tend to go away as the body adjusts. However, if they continue or worsen, medical advice is needed.

Before starting this medicine, it is important to tell your doctor if you have ever had allergies to antibiotics, or if you suffer from kidney or liver problems. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should seek medical guidance before using it.

The medicine contains two active components: amoxicillin, which kills bacteria by preventing them from forming a protective layer needed for survival, and clavulanic acid, which helps amoxicillin work better by blocking bacterial resistance.

Alcohol should be avoided unless your doctor advises otherwise. The medicine may sometimes cause dizziness or allergic reactions that could affect your ability to drive safely. People with severe kidney or liver disease may need close monitoring or dose adjustments while on this treatment.

If a dose is forgotten, it should be taken as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual. Do not take two doses at the same time.
