About Acuclav 150 mg Paediatric Injection 1’s
Acuclav 150 mg Paediatric Injection 1’s is prescribed for the management of bacterial infections that can affect areas such as the ear, nose, throat, skin, bones, joints, urinary system, soft tissues, and respiratory passages. Bacterial infections occur when harmful microbes enter the body, grow rapidly, and cause illness.

This medicine contains two active components, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin works by blocking the formation of the protective covering of bacteria, which is essential for their survival, leading to their destruction. Clavulanic Acid helps reduce bacterial resistance, making Amoxycillin more effective. Together, these two ingredients provide broad protection against a wide range of infections.

The dosage and treatment length are decided according to the infection type, its seriousness, and the patient’s health condition. Common effects seen with this injection include mild pain or swelling at the site of administration, skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, gas, or bloating. These reactions are usually temporary and resolve on their own, but if they continue, it is best to consult a doctor.

Special care should be taken for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and use should only be under a doctor’s guidance. Since the injection can sometimes cause dizziness, patients should avoid driving immediately after taking it. Alcohol is not recommended as it may increase the chance of unpleasant reactions. For children, the injection is considered safe if prescribed, though the dose will depend on the child’s body weight and infection severity.

Possible side effects
Discomfort or swelling at the injection spot, rashes on the skin, nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gas.

Uses
Treatment of bacterial infections including infections of the ear, nose, throat, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, joints, and bones. It is also useful in respiratory conditions such as pneumonia and bronchitis, skin infections like cellulitis, urinary tract infections, and may also be given after surgery to lower the risk of infection.

Directions for use
The injection is always given by a healthcare provider, either directly into a vein or through an infusion in a clinical setup. Patients should not attempt to use it on their own. The frequency and strength of each dose are tailored by the doctor.

Medicinal benefits
This injection provides broad-spectrum antibacterial action by combining Amoxycillin with Clavulanic Acid. It helps kill both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. By reducing resistance and improving the effect of Amoxycillin, it treats infections effectively and prevents them from spreading further.

How it works
Amoxycillin destroys bacteria by stopping the development of their protective covering. Clavulanic Acid blocks bacterial enzymes that would otherwise make Amoxycillin less effective. Together, they eliminate harmful bacteria from the body.

Storage
Keep in a cool, dry location, away from sunlight and out of the reach of children. It does not require refrigeration but should be stored between 10°C and 25°C, and not higher than 30°C.

Overdose information
Since this medicine is only given by medical professionals, the risk of overdose is low. However, in case of accidental extra dosing or unusual reactions, medical care should be sought immediately.

Warnings and precautions
This injection should not be used by patients with known allergies to its ingredients, or by those who have had jaundice related to antibiotics. Tell your doctor if you have glandular fever, intestinal inflammation, seizure disorders, liver or kidney problems, or difficulty passing urine. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Dizziness may occur during treatment, so driving and operating heavy machinery should be avoided. Alcohol is not advised as it may worsen side effects. Share a full list of any medicines you are taking with your doctor to avoid harmful interactions.
