Product Overview

AntiD 300mcg/ml Injection is used to prevent certain infections by stopping the formation of antibodies in situations involving Rh incompatibility. It is prescribed when an individual with Rh-negative blood is exposed to Rh-positive blood, such as during a blood transfusion or pregnancy, where an Rh-negative mother carries an Rh-positive baby.

This injection is primarily used for Rh prophylaxis in pregnancy-related issues. It is also utilized in cases of incompatible transfusions, where Rh-negative individuals receive blood products containing Rh-positive red blood cells. Additionally, it may be recommended for treating immune thrombocytopenic purpura, a disorder where platelet counts are low, increasing the risk of bruising.

The injection is administered by a healthcare provider and must not be self-injected. It is usually given as an intramuscular injection in the upper arm. Pregnant women with Rh-negative blood are routinely given this injection at around 28 weeks of gestation and within 72 hours after childbirth if the newborn is Rh-positive.
