Femoston 2/10 Tablet is used in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to help manage symptoms associated with menopause. It contains a combination of female hormones designed to alleviate discomforts such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and irritation experienced by postmenopausal women.

This medication can be taken with or without food, but it is recommended to take it at the same time every day to maintain consistent hormone levels in the body. The dosage and frequency depend on your doctor’s prescription based on your specific needs and symptoms. Always swallow the tablet whole with water and continue using it for the duration prescribed by your healthcare provider.

Common side effects include nausea, headache, abdominal pain, fatigue, and breast tenderness. If you experience irregular bleeding or spotting, or if these symptoms cause concern, consult your doctor. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include unexplained swelling or pain in your limbs, chest pain, shortness of breath, or vision changes. How it works:
Femoston 2/10 combines two hormones: Estradiol and Dydrogesterone. Estradiol helps restore estrogen levels, easing menopausal symptoms. However, Estradiol alone may increase the risk of endometrial cancer by affecting the uterine lining. Dydrogesterone is included to counteract this risk, protecting the lining of the uterus.

Precautions:

• Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as it may harm the baby.

• Use with caution if you have kidney or liver disease; dose adjustments may be necessary.

• Consult your doctor regarding alcohol consumption during treatment.

• This medication usually does not impair driving ability.

Missed Dose:
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one.
