Introduction of Indocap 25mg Capsule

Indocap 25mg Capsule contains Indomethacin, a medicine classified under Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). It is primarily used to decrease swelling and manage moderate to severe joint-related inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and degenerative hip disorders. It also helps relieve pain and stiffness in the spine caused by ankylosing spondylitis.

This medicine is effective in treating sprains, strains, post-surgical pain, lower back pain, painful menstrual cramps, gout-related joint pain, and acute shoulder pain caused by conditions like bursitis and tendinitis. During the treatment, your doctor may recommend certain tests to monitor your health.

Indocap 25mg Capsule is not suitable for individuals with a history of severe allergic reactions such as angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat), peptic ulcers, intestinal bleeding, or severe heart, liver, or kidney disorders. It is also unsuitable for those with nasal obstruction caused by polyps.

Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart failure, bleeding or clotting disorders, epilepsy, mental health issues, Parkinson’s disease, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders like Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, lupus, diabetes, or poor blood circulation. It is also important to mention if you have fluid retention, plan to undergo surgery, or have a history of smoking or high cholesterol.

Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine as it may increase the risk of stomach bleeding or ulcers. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester, and should not be used while breastfeeding. It is also not advised for children below 14 years of age, and elderly patients should use it cautiously due to a higher risk of side effects.

The most common side effect is mild headache, but consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.

How Indocap 25mg Capsule Works
