Pan-IT Capsule SR is a combination medicine commonly prescribed to manage conditions such as acid reflux (gastroesophageal reflux disease) and functional dyspepsia (indigestion). It helps reduce excess stomach acid, thereby easing symptoms like heartburn, stomach discomfort, bloating, and irritation. By promoting the smooth movement of food and gas through the digestive tract, it also helps relieve pressure and discomfort in the stomach. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, typically before meals, and the duration of treatment is determined by your doctor based on your specific condition and response to the drug. Do not discontinue it suddenly, even if your symptoms improve, as doing so may cause a relapse or worsen your condition. Make sure to inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, as some may interact with this treatment. Possible side effects may include diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness, increased saliva production, headache, gas, and dryness in the mouth. Inform your doctor before starting Pan-IT Capsule SR if you have any existing kidney or liver issues, or if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding. The capsule contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that limits acid production in the stomach, and itopride, a prokinetic agent that enhances gastric motility and reduces symptoms of nausea. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s nearly time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one—do not take a double dose to make up for it.
