Retorlix 10 Tablet

Retorlix 10 Tablet contains Torsemide 10 mg, which is a diuretic (commonly known as a water pill). It helps the body remove extra salt and water through urine.

Uses

• Reduces swelling (edema) caused by heart, kidney, or liver problems

• Helps in controlling high blood pressure by lowering excess fluid in the body

How it works
Torsemide increases urine production by the kidneys, which reduces fluid overload. This helps relieve swelling and also brings down blood pressure.

How to take

• Take the dose exactly as prescribed by your doctor

• Usually taken once a day, with or without food

• Swallow whole with a glass of water, do not chew or crush

• Best taken in the morning to avoid sleep disturbance due to frequent urination

Possible side effects

• Dizziness or low blood pressure, especially when standing up suddenly

• Increased urination

• Dehydration or excessive thirst

• Muscle cramps or weakness

• Nausea, stomach discomfort, or loss of appetite

Precautions

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease

• Should not be used if you have no urine output or allergy to this medicine

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women should take it only if prescribed

• Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel dizzy after taking it

Missed dose
If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose.
