Salbair-I Transhaler
Introduction
Salbair-I Transhaler is a combination inhaler that contains Salmeterol (a long-acting bronchodilator) and Ipratropium (an anticholinergic bronchodilator). It is prescribed in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema, and is also helpful for certain patients with asthma. The dual action of relaxing airway muscles and reducing airway narrowing makes breathing easier and improves lung function.
Benefits
• Provides effective relief from breathlessness, wheezing, and chest tightness
• Combines two bronchodilators for stronger and longer-lasting action
• Improves airflow and helps patients breathe more comfortably
• Reduces the frequency of COPD and asthma flare-ups
• Enhances exercise capacity and overall quality of life in respiratory patients
Side Effects
• Common side effects may include dry mouth, cough, headache, dizziness, or throat irritation
• Some patients may experience trembling, palpitations, or nausea
• Rare but serious side effects include chest pain, difficulty urinating, irregular heartbeat, or allergic reactions
• Overuse may increase the risk of side effects without added benefit
How to Use
• Use the inhaler exactly as directed by your doctor
• Shake well before each use and inhale the prescribed number of puffs through the mouthpiece
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• Not suitable for immediate relief of sudden asthma or COPD attacks — always keep a rescue inhaler available
