Saltum Injection 1.5 gm is a combination antibiotic used to treat a wide range of serious bacterial infections. It helps fight infections of the lungs, urinary tract, skin, bones, joints, and abdomen. The medicine is given by a healthcare professional through intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection only.
It contains two active ingredients – Cefuroxime and Sulbactam. Together, they work by killing harmful bacteria and preventing them from growing further.

How Saltum Injection Works
- 
Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that stops bacterial cell wall formation, leading to the death of bacteria.

Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects cefuroxime from being destroyed by resistant bacteria, thereby enhancing its effectiveness. 
Together, they provide a strong and broad-spectrum antibacterial effect.
