Composition:
Each tablet contains three active ingredients:

1. Telmisartan (40 mg) – an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB)

2. Cilnidipine (10 mg) – a calcium channel blocker (CCB)

3. Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg) – a thiazide-like diuretic

Description:
SARTEL TRIO 12.5 Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), especially when blood pressure is not controlled with a single or dual therapy. It helps reduce the risk of serious health problems such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage by lowering and controlling blood pressure.

How it Works:

• Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to narrow.

• Cilnidipine helps relax and widen blood vessels by preventing calcium from entering the muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels.

• Chlorthalidone acts as a diuretic (water pill) that helps the body get rid of extra salt and water, reducing blood volume and blood pressure.
  Together, these three medicines work synergistically to effectively control hypertension.

Uses:

• Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Prevention of heart attack and stroke

• Protection of kidneys from damage due to long-term high blood pressure

Dosage & Administration:

• Usually taken once daily or as prescribed by the doctor.

• Can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time every day.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and do not stop taking the medicine suddenly.

Common Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Headache

• Fatigue or tiredness

• Increased urination

• Swelling of ankles or feet (due to water retention)
