Product Introduction

Tamsin D Tablet PR is a prescription combination medicine that contains Tamsulosin (an alpha-blocker) and Dutasteride (a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor). It is mainly prescribed for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. This condition occurs when the prostate gland becomes enlarged, leading to difficulty in passing urine. The dual combination helps in both improving urine flow and shrinking the enlarged prostate over time.

How to Use

What to Avoid

• Avoid alcohol as it can increase dizziness and low blood pressure

• Do not drive or operate heavy machinery if you feel dizzy or lightheaded

• Avoid sudden position changes to reduce the risk of fainting

• Do not take with other alpha-blockers unless advised by your doctor

Precautions

• Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney problems, or heart conditions

• Not recommended for women and children

• Pregnant women should not handle crushed or broken tablets as Dutasteride can be absorbed through the skin and may harm the fetus

• Inform your eye surgeon if you are scheduled for cataract or glaucoma surgery (risk of IFIS with Tamsulosin)

• Regular monitoring of PSA (prostate-specific antigen) levels may be required while on therapy
