Taxim-OFZ Tablet 10’s – Overview

Taxim-OFZ Tablet 10’s is an antibiotic combination medicine used to manage a wide range of infections caused by bacteria and certain parasites. It is commonly prescribed for urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections including diarrhea and dysentery, respiratory infections, skin and soft tissue infections, vaginal and intra-abdominal infections, and infections associated with surgical procedures. It may also be used in some sexually transmitted and protozoal infections.

Composition and Action

This medicine contains two active ingredients:

• Ofloxacin – a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting DNA gyrase, an enzyme needed for bacterial replication and survival.

• Ornidazole – an antimicrobial that blocks protein synthesis, leading to the death of bacteria and protozoa.

Together, they provide a broad-spectrum effect against different types of infectious organisms.

Taking more than the prescribed dose can cause symptoms like confusion, dizziness, seizures, nausea, or loss of consciousness. Seek medical attention immediately if overdose is suspected.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Recommended storage temperature: below 25–30°C.
