Triopil 2 Tablet SR is designed to support the management of type 2 diabetes in adults. It works best when used alongside a balanced diet and regular exercise, as it improves how the body makes use of insulin and helps reduce blood sugar levels. This medicine is often considered when one or two medicines alone are not able to provide effective control of diabetes.

It combines three antidiabetic agents with different but complementary actions. Glimepiride stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, Metformin decreases glucose formation in the liver while slowing down sugar absorption from food and improving insulin sensitivity, and Pioglitazone further increases the body’s ability to use insulin efficiently. Together, they provide stronger and longer-lasting control of blood sugar and help prevent sudden rises after meals.

The medicine should always be taken with food to minimize stomach irritation. It must be swallowed whole with water and never chewed or crushed. If a dose is missed, it can be taken soon after remembering, unless it is nearly time for the next dose, in which case the missed one should be skipped. Taking extra tablets at once is not advised, as it could lead to hypoglycemia.
