Vertin DT 24 Tablet is commonly prescribed for managing Ménière’s disease, a condition that affects the inner ear and leads to symptoms such as dizziness (vertigo), ringing in the ears (tinnitus), nausea, and hearing loss. These symptoms are believed to result from a buildup of excess fluid in the inner ear. The tablet contains betahistine, which enhances blood circulation in the inner ear and helps reduce the fluid pressure, thereby relieving the symptoms.

This medicine may cause some mild side effects such as headache, nausea, indigestion, bloating, or minor stomach discomfort. These effects are usually temporary and do not need medical attention unless they persist or worsen. The tablet should be taken after meals to minimize stomach issues. Always follow the dosage and instructions provided by your doctor. The tablet is meant to be dissolved in a glass of water before consumption unless advised otherwise. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have asthma, stomach ulcers, low blood pressure, or a history of allergic reactions to any medication. Pregnant and breastfeeding individuals should only use this medicine if it is clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor. This medicine is not recommended for children or individuals with conditions such as porphyria or galactose intolerance. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Store Vertin DT 24 Tablet in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Keep the temperature between 10°C and 25°C, not exceeding 30°C. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Overdose symptoms may include stomach pain, vomiting, sleepiness, rapid heartbeat, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing, swelling, or in rare cases, seizures. If an overdose is suspected, seek immediate medical attention.

For better results and to reduce symptom flare-ups, limit intake of caffeine from tea, coffee, or energy drinks. Maintain consistent meal timings and avoid long gaps between meals. Reducing alcohol consumption and quitting smoking can also help, as both can worsen circulation and aggravate inner ear problems. Prioritize restful sleep and manage stress to support overall well-being and reduce vertigo episodes.

This medication is not addictive or habit-forming when used as directed. It belongs to the category of antivertigo drugs and works effectively to relieve symptoms associated with balance disorders by improving inner ear blood flow and fluid regulation.
