Voglistar MD 0.3 Tablet is an oral antidiabetic medication prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus where diet and exercise alone are insufficient to control blood glucose. It contains voglibose, which delays the breakdown of complex carbohydrates into simple sugars by inhibiting intestinal enzymes, thereby helping to moderate blood sugar spikes after meals. Take the tablet with food, ideally at the same time each day, as directed by your physician. Consistent use is essential—even if you feel well—because stopping suddenly can lead to uncontrolled glucose levels and raise the risk of diabetic complications such as kidney damage, nerve impairment, eye problems, and cardiovascular issues. Common side effects include abdominal discomfort, gas, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and occasionally skin rashes; these are typically mild and tend to subside with ongoing use. However, persistent or troubling symptoms should prompt consultation with your healthcare provider. Voglistar MD 0.3 should not be used by individuals with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or severe kidney or liver disease.
